Carson started Tball a couple of weeks ago! I must say, I think I was meant to be a "boy" mom!! I'm loving it!! We have games twice a week, once during the week and one on Saturday morning. It's been so much fun to watch him! We are still working on his baseball skills but it's a big step up from soccer a couple of years ago when he cried the whole game!!
It's a Bates Life
Follow us on our journey as we watch our boys change and grow! I will be posting pictures and stories of things that we do and places that we go. I will also be posting stories and pictures of projects and cakes that I have be working on.

Meet Otis
we welcomed a new mber to our family two weeks ago, tomorrow. His name is Otis and he is an English bulldog. The boys are loving having him around! They chase his, feed him and are just silly with him!
He is slowly getting used to to
The crate at night. The first few nights he cried all night, now he just wants to get up between 6 and 630. That doesn't work so well for someone who loves her sleep!

first days of school!
The boys
both started school a few weeks ago. You would think that would give me
more time to blog and whatnot but I have been busier than ever! I have
had some many back to school meetings, parent coffees and all the lovely
appointments I have been putting off until school started.
Here
are a few pictures from the boys first days. Carson is in Kindergarten
and goes 5 days a week from 9 until 2. Tyler is in 2 day two's and goes
Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 until 12. They both are going to our
church's school, The Methodist School for Early Childhood Education.
Carson's first day
Carson's teachers
Happy first day!! "K" is for kindergarten pancakes!
Tyler's first day! YAY! We made some donuts.
Tyler
with his teachers. The only way to get them was with the other little
girl in the picture. (She was not happy to be there.)
Three weeks later they both still LOVE school and are excited to go each day! We are loving this school and are happy me made the change, even if it means I'm super busy getting involved!

IOP and Charleston
A few weeks ago we went to the Isle of Palms and Charleston for a family beach vacation. Jason was in a wedding in Charleston, so we figured, "Why not make a beach week out of it!" Elisha came down for several days too! She came to watch the boys for us during the wedding events and then stayed at the beach with us until Thursday. It was the perfect little getaway! We had the beach right outside of our condo as well as a big pool! The best of both worlds!!
